It’s been 53 years since the Manawatū Spinners’ and Weavers’ Guild was formed. From the early days of meeting in living rooms and using equipment salvaged from sheds, the Guild has become a champion of fibre art in our region.
This exhibition showcases a range of useable and decorative items that demonstrate what is possible and offers a rich entreé into the fibre arts. Guild members will be spinning and weaving in the museum and will be more than happy to chat with you about their craft.
Some works will be for sale.
