Passionart NZ Inc.

Te Manawa, as the cultural ‘heart’ of the Manawatu, has a commitment to supporting local organisations that are promoting the arts as mechanisms to strengthen community wellbeing.

In collaboration with Ariana Te Awe Awe, Passionart has recently created the mural Reflections in the courtyard at Te Manawa. This urban art project has received great feedback from our visitors and illustrates our shared commitment to providing creative and vibrant spaces in Palmerston North.

Passionart started in 2008 with one small class in Longburn.  With a vision to be more accessible to the larger Palmerston North community, the class was shifted to Queen Elizabeth College in 2010.Passionart built a positive reputation based on its commitment to community learning and community projects.  Passionart became an incorporated society in 2011.

Passionart has been involved in teaching and/or projects at several local schools, Te Aroha Noa Community Services, Te Manawa, The Manawatu Jets games and Youthspace.
